Where brunch, "running" and real talk come together to help you nurture the most important relationship in your life: the one with yourself.

Project Love Run (PLR) is a womxn's only running collective holding space for womxn to connect with each other and their own minds and bodies.

We meet you exactly where you’re at (no need to be a pro runner) — come as you are, because that’s already perfect.

If you want to fuel your body with love, good intentions (and an eggs benny)... You’re in the right place, Queen.

Our collective spans across 2 cities in Canada, where we unite womxn from all walks of life.

Every event has a unique theme we unpack (past topics include running and anti-fat bias, weight stigma, ageism – yep, we go there) in small + intimate groups.

Led by a local leader and sweeper (no womxn get left behind!), our short + sweet “runs” and brunch are designed to help you rediscover your worth… One step at a time.

KIND WORDS

Meet our founder + coach, Filsan — ultrarunner, cat mom to Booby, community leader and frequenter of radical self-love weekends with a journal and pen in hand…

…And would you believe her if she told you that she started running at the age of 25??

With no interests in sports growing up, Filsan discovered her passion for running amidst dealing with anxiety/depression, and an undiagnosed eating disorder after a breakup in 2013 — all complicated by many intersecting identities (Kenyan-Somali-Canadian-Muslim woman).

Although at first, she ran to disconnect, and "run away" from all her problems (not to mention control and manipulate her body), with a community to share stories, her running blossomed into a tool to explore her relationship to her body, and reasses a world that makes womxn feel small.

Now racing trail ultras, Filsan uses her lived experience to draw awareness to how oppresive systems intersect with running culture — "running in love" to foster accessible and inclusive environments for womxn to be seen and heard.
