Sobaax (pronounced "So-Bah") means "Come Out" in Somali. It's an invitation—a call to step outside, to move, to connect. No pressure, just a welcoming space to be yourself...
Program Details:
Sobaax is a free movement program for new immigrant women. Over 4 to 6 weeks, we will meet every Saturday at 12:30 PM (starting April 5th), to learn movement basics—like stretching, walking, dance, and breathwork—in a fun and supportive environment.
Who is it for:
This program is for all new immigrant women who want to feel stronger, move with confidence, and meet others in the community. No experience is needed, and you don’t have to be an athlete!
Where:
Sun Wah Center (268 Keefer Street, unit 212, Vancouver, BC, V6A 1X5).
When:
Starting April 5th, 2025, and runs through to April 25th, 2025.
Sessions:
4-to-6, one hour sessions. Each week will have a different movement focus.
